The Catholic University of America

The Committee on Computing

The Committee on Computing advises the Academic Senate concerning computing facilities, policies, and services at the University. The Committee also advises the Executive Director of the University Computer Center and, through the Director, the executive officers of the University concerning long-range planning and priorities in the acquisition, replacement, and maintenance of computer hardware and software required to serve the academic needs of faculty and students and the supporting administrative functions.

The Committee consists of two representatives of the Administration appointed by the Academic Vice President, six representatives of the Faculties appointed by the Committee on Committees and Rules, and one representative each of the University Libraries, the Graduate Student Association, and the Undergraduate Student Government. The Executive Director of the Computer Center serves ex officio. Administrators and members of the faculty serve for a period of three years with staggered terms. The Committee elects its chair and secretary annually. (By action of the Academic Senate, April 20, 1995)
